SLS Summer Ambassadors invites international students to immersive English language study at one of our residential centers in the United States. We strive to ensure that each student will have the opportunity to experience a truly international environment, learn or develop their English language skills, experience new cultures, and visit some of the most
famous places in the world.
The duration of each camp is typically 7 or 14 days and is open to groups and individuals. A total of fifteen (15) English language study hours are provided per week by certified teachers. In addition, planned excursions and activities will extend the learning experience beyond the classroom as students experience culture in different American cities.

Academics
English Course
Lessons actively engage students with a focus on task-based learning that strengthens
English communication skills through common topics and tasks. Students are only
permitted to use the English in the classroom to facilitate an immersive learning
environment. Classes are interactive and lively with individual and group projects that
encourage teamwork, leadership, and the use of digital research.
Upon arrival, a placement test will be administered to each student to determine the level
of English proficiency in accordance with the Common European Framework. Students
are grouped in small classes led by CELTA (or equivalent) certified teachers that are
qualified to teach English as a foreign language and have been thoroughly vetted via
background checks and training related to working with minors.
Weekly classes provide 15 hours of English language study with a with certificates
provided to each student after successful completion of their coursework during a
graduation ceremony.

Being immersed in the life and culture of NYC adds a unique element to the
classroom experience, as students can experience NYC life and culture
first-hand in authentic settings. Students improve their English, expand their
knowledge about NYC, practice their English in truly authentic NYC
settings, and live like true New Yorkers!
Our programs offer a rich excursion experience for students with visits to
iconic sites, museums and tourist attractions. Planned activities and
excursions provide students with an opportunity to enhance their language
learning experience through cultural immersion.

amenities for a more relaxed and enjoyable stay.
